I'm looking at getting another electric guitar and I don't have a whole lot of money to spend, but I'd like to get something with good quality. I'm still kind of a beginner, but I want something better than the cheap Squier I have. Right now I'm thinking about getting a Michael Kelly guitar since it seems that most people say that they outperform other guitars of comparable price, like an Epiphone or such, but I don't have any experience with them. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm looking at around a $400-600 price range.

Try Agile guitars. They're made in Korea and you buy them directly from the manufacturer so that keeps the cost low. They're highly compared to Gibson in build quality, at half the price. http://www.rondomusic.com/electricguitar.html

What kind of music do you play? That might help a bit.

your best bet is to go to a guitar shop and try out as many guitars in your price range as you can. don't forget used ones as well (more bang for the buck). keep an open mind and you'll be suprised what might do the trick that you hadn't thought of.
and now for something completely different
