Perhaps I'm just a little bit confused because I've come here from an international (pro-dominantly United states) forum, but I'm used to having new posts around the clock. I don't know, perhaps I'm just one of those sad insomniacs.

Anyway, to keep this relatively on topic, what do you guys make of this? I picked it up in a pawn shop for £50 a few months ago, and it's been my main axe since then. It hasn't ceased to impress me.

the deal is that this forum was shut down due to a fuckup and lost most of its members (not that there were tons to begin with) so not alot of folks here regardless of time of day.

anyways nice guitar and welcome
and now for something completely different

Ah, I see. Thanks for the welcome, amigo. Being an insomniac, people may find that I'll lurk here for hours.

I'd never really had any experience with Washburn before buying this. It's my first Washburn, in fact it's my first guitar to have a Floyd. My first impressions when trying it out for the first time were that the Floyd was a bit limp and the humbucker sounded a bit murky. The jack socket was also a bit faulty and the B-string sounded a bit dead, so I went about replacing the nut and put on some fresh strings (10 - 52 set), replaced the jack socket and put an extra trem spring on the Floyd. It feels alot nicer now than it did, but I'm yet to replace the humbucker with a passive EMG w/ gain boost. For now, my freebie effects box sounds okay, but I'd like to sort out the problem rather than stop it's symptoms.
