Newbie Posts: 3 Group: Members Member #9,286 Joined: January 7, 2010	Hey guys, what I believe is a pretty old electric guitar has come into my possession. This is it: http://s307.photobucket.com/albums/nn287/siyang_wang/Guitar/. Being completely clueless when it comes to guitars, I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some advise as to its model and its current value at its current state. There is some rust going on the metal plates where the strings are fastened down, and in fact in any area of where it is metal. However when the strings are strung the sound still sounds pretty clear ....to me, but I've never played a guitar. I'm not going to play the guitar and I might put it up on auction on ebay if there is any value to it... but seeing as it is pretty old, I doubt it. But maybe it would be a good starting guitar if I sold it cheaply? Thanks in advance for helpful comments.

Garry Posts: 673 Group: Members Member #8,964 Joined: November 3, 2008	Just had a look on google mate as i didn't know the exact guitar, but it's a Vantage (Japanese i think) guitar and the model is an Avenger, like it says on the headstock Not worth a lot really, maybe Ł100 - 150 or something?

Vantage made decent beginner and intermediate guitars. not really an in demand collector guitar though so not much value. it looks like it might be a good guitar to mod so someone may want it for a reasonable price.
	and now for something completely different

	I'll decide on a signature when I think of something worth reading every time I post...
