Hi hi.

I never know what to say in introductory posts so bear with me....

....umm.....err.....I play guitar (well duh!), I'm female, been dabbling with electric guitar (6 string and 4 string bass) on and off for a few years now, I'm a Scot but live in the south west of England and I'm also a part time cat.

And that is as good as it gets for an introduction.

May the force purrs be with you,

Cat xxx

Of course. Gear....how remiss of me! :$

I've done the whole beginners Squier Strat bit - bought, sold, moved on etc. (I still have a Tele copy in silver which I got for uber-cheap and amazingly, it has that real retro tele sound - I do love a bargain) but I've settled down to two main guitars.

I have a neck-through Shine SIL-51N (fairly unusual guitar, never seen or heard of another exactly like it), all gorgeous natural wood finish, solid ash wings, Floyd Rose trem and locking nut, gold hardware etc. and it was my pride and joy - until recently when I treated myself to an outrageously retro-chic Italia Modena Classic in gold ultra-sparkle which sings even better than it looks.

As you might have gathered, I like the unusual when it comes to guitars, I'm not much of a traditionalist - apart from my Tele-esque knockabout. I do love my new Modena, it's just as flamboyant and unashamed as the inner me. B) (Yes, this is what I am when I'm not being a cat.)

I'll get organised and take pics at some point.

I don't have much in the way of ampage since I don't feel I'm good enough to gig - and I don't even really want to at this stage, I just make music for my own fun and jollies. But the amp I do have is (in my not so humble opinion) the ideal home amp. A Roland Microcube - tiny wee thing, about the size of a handbag, runs off either batteries or mains - but has an amazing output that totally belies its size. At full volume, the neighbours would be approaching with pitchforks. It has a few effects and amp modelings too.

I also have a Korg AX1500G effects board.

As for geography, originally I'm an Ayrshire sort of a cat. I've wandered a bit...

he he - wandered a bit :)

Me too (job compelled!), but not quite as far from Lanarkshire as South West!

That Modena sounds very spangly :D

See you in the main forums. Post some pics of that glitzy git
