Ops totaly missed your reply Rampant.

I began 2 weeks ago LOL.

Currently just trying to get down left/right hand movment with some practice... chords? Not sure if thats the right word for them.

E -----3------6--------
Followed by
B ------3------5--------
Followed by same on G and D, and A and E following Low E pattern. I do that acending and descending.

That was week 1 lesson, once I got at a decent speed (descent for me anyways , with accuracy). I moved onto this pattern.

E ---3---5---7
Same pattern for B, then starting on G I go down 1 fret ( 4--6--8) D following, then again on A moving down another fret ( 5---7---9 ) High E following.

Doing this one Descenting and Acending as well. This week I started alternating between the 2 patterns. Need to find a something a bit more challenge for this week.

Yeah... kinda pathetic, but have to start somewere :)

Self Lessons, I not current taking Tutor lessons. I would like to down the road, I figured getting some basics left/right cordination first would help greatly.

I'm definitely enjoying it so far, even at its basic level. Been trying to at least practice 30 minutes a day.

Keep at it, matey - at least 30 minutes every day will have you progressing quite quickly, although it often doesn't feel that quick, sometimes :).

Are you using a book/books or DVDs or the internet???

Have a look at my "guitar diary" blog in my profile page that describes my tutored lessons with from week 1 onwards. 'First' entry is on the last page... Maybe it'll give you ideas and keep your motivation up. Most of all, keep enjoying your journey :D

So how do you think you're doing? Progress???
That 30 min per day really pays off when you first begin, so keep at it :)
