How about some BRDLWN? Heavy but deep, nice and undergroundish. Theyre currently competing in the Rock the Dash competition (my friend is in the band). It'd be great if you guys can check out their tunes, but even better if you could VOTE for them too! http://underground.alpine-usa.com/RocktheDash/band_index.php?bid=121 |

gave them a listen. i liked the singer but found the guitar sound to be lacking. the songs weren't bad. these guys have potential but aren't there yet. a more interesting guitar sound would have helped the mood of the songs project better. the bass sound is very muddy in parts as well. |

@ monwobobbo: thanks for the insight. means a lot that you took the time to give some constructive criticism, going to be put to use. @ others: Just wanted to drop a line (and not annoyingly start a new thread) to let you guys know that BRDLWN has uploaded a couple new tunes to the Rock the Dash page. If you guys have gone on and voted for BRDLWN, just wanted to say thanks. It's much appreciated! |

Believe it or not i felt some Nirvana coming through in all the songs Dunno if they were grunge kinds in the 90's?Agree with Monwo about the guitar sound, needs some interesting leads in there too to make it more interesting, although i think i can hear some in places but they aren't coming through clearly due to the recording being a bit mushy?

Yeah, that's definitely an era they're big on. Thanks again to the both of you folks and the advice re the guitar work. The guys totally understood what you guys were getting at. And as the Rock the Dash competition is coming to an end, I just wanted to take one more opportunity to point you folks in BRDLWN's direction. A final push of votes are needed to get them to win the whole thang. They've also got a new tune uploaded called "Will." If you voted or not, just want to say thanks for taking the time to listen to something new, y'all. |
