As above

I've grown a preference for Dunlop Gator Grip .5mm (second choice .71mm)
Does what it says on the front - grips like a 'gator, lol.
I mean they have good grip properties and don't get too slippery from hot fingers, unlike some I've tried.

So c'mon, what's your thing?

Ahh picks picks picks huh :)

Well, i like anything that's between 1mm and 2mm (dunlop) but it has to be good quality! Cheap picks just burr up and get rough edges and sound horrible! Like the free ones you get with magazines! Brit picks are excellent, made from recycled material and hard as nails!

I usually use Dunlop Big Stubbies 3mm. I think they are more like bass picks.. they do not bend at all and are really thick. They are my favourite picks. It gives me more control... the pick doesn't fly out of my fingers or bend around. Though you really have to get used to them... alternate picking isn't an easy task with these babies!

Blooody hell, Bullet.

You might be more comfortable with something a little thinner - I dunno, something like a house-brick, maybe??? :D

for many years i used Dunlop 1mm nylon picks (black ones) but recently i tried 2mm Big Stubbies and they are really good for double picking fast runs so i've been using those.
and now for something completely different

I've got a silver plectrum too, but that sounds crap just if anyone had thought about a metal one :D

I'm a fan of dunlop nylon 1mm and snarling dogs (i forget if they're .73mm or 1mm) but both are awesome. I like the snarling dogs a bit more as 1.) they come in a reusable metal tin and 2.) the grips are heavily serrated so it's hard for them to fall out of your hand, even if you're sweating hard.

I use Ibanez Mediums with sandgrip on. They're the only details I can give, but they're great if you get sweaty hands quickly as they don't slip :) Jazz III plectrums are pretty good too. Here's a picture of the Ibanez one anyway.

Cool looking picks

I'm using Dunlop Gater Grips - find them less slippy than other picks. Onto 1.14mm at the moment :)

I use .9 - 1.14mm Dunlop Ultex picks, I've been using the same ones for like 6 months and they don't wear out at all.

CHECK OUT MY BAND!

+1

I like the 3mm Big Stubby's too.. You can roll fast B) on the strings with these and you don't have to stop to grab another broke tip.. :P

A friend of mine plays with these too and I thought I would hate them but going back to a regular medium pick I wear them out or break em if I don't baby them..

The drawback IMO is they can give off a real plastic sounding tick as your doing certain sounds... Rather Unnatural. ^o)
