What's your style? Vox's are more Classic rock (usually) and Peavey is more heavy metal and whatnot |

But both amps are capable of many more styles than just those. No amp is limited to one specific style especially if using pedals. |

the Vox is good. i like the peavey that was mentioned but it may not be a really good beginner amp it ment more as a tube practice amp and it won't be good for a metal sound at all by itself. put a disprtion pedal in front and i bet it screams though. very limited tone controls though. i would also recomend a Peavey Vypyr as they are decent for a beginner amp. |
| and now for something completely different | |

No idea what kind of music you play. The Ibanez TBX-15R is fairly cheap and can work with a few different styles. I'm not personally a fan of the gain but the cleans are alright. I returned a Peavey Rage 258 for this, which I regret because the Rage had better cleans, and with the right distortion pedal, I could've gotten much closer to the sound I was looking for, which is basically a hot, powerful marshall-distortion. Like the one you get if you put an OD-pedal in front of a JCM 800 or if you use a JCM 2000. |

Im not familiar with your currency but great begginers amps are the Vox Valvetronix series. Good modeling, tube in the preamp, and very sexy looking.
