boss fdr-1 pedal

 I`m looking at getting a boss fdr-1 effects pedal to go with my fender super champ xd amp , but the amp has built in modeling (?) to copy different amps would i be buying something i already have, novice question sorry in advance Harvey , just been looking on you tube at the demo for it

 i'm guessing that your fender amp would have a similar patch already in it. why did you want this pedal since you already have a fender amp?

 That`s the reason for asking i`m still messing around with my amp and then saw the you tube demo and didn`t want to spend £99.00 if i already had it
