Again.. experiementing with different pedals. Im looking for a pedal that will give me a sound similar to guitars of bullet for my valentine. What kind of pedals would you say to go for? Edited by korp, Dec 12 2008, 03:24 PM.

Digitech are probably your people, the Metal Master more specifically, or maybe a Boss Metal Zone, something like that. The Digitech is better i think, but the Boss is cheaper by quite a lot. Maybe worth looking into some other Boss pedals too, their "DS" and "grunge" series might have something you are looking for! There are tonnes of others around too if you look, these 2 pedals pretty much do what it says on the tin for a reasonable price (the metal master has 7 different distortion types in it)

just a reminder that a pedal by it self may not give you the sound you want. often people ask the same ? you did and are disappointed when they get a pedal and then it doesn't automatically get the sound they wanted. your amp and guitar play a huge role in overall sound. i'm pretty sure that BFMV tune way down to get their guitar tone. (my daughter likes them but i've really only heard a couple songs) i'm currently using a Behringer Heavy Distortion pedal for my metal needs and i've gotta say it works well even with my strat (this is thru a valve amp though). |
| and now for something completely different | |

I have a Digitech Hardwire TL-2. It true bypass, got copius amounts of gain, and can give you tons of low end metal sounds. |
