Board Lord Posts: 1,965 Group: Co-Admin Member #59 Joined: September 2, 2006	Okeydokey guys, its that time! The forum is indeed becoming more popular, and its a great sign for things to come. Now, with more members, we do have an opening for a new Moderator. Myself and Bullet currently do not have enough free time to spend every last minute on the boards, so we will be introducing a new Mod. So, who gets to be this new Mod? The new Moderator will be decided by a contribution competition. Whoever has the most thanks by the end of November wins. But, there are rules. No trading thanks. I will certainly be spending time going through thanks logs, and it is my decision whether to prune an applicants thanks count if necesary. To enter, please reply to this topic, with your thanks count. Final deliberations will be up to myself, Bullet, and Mynameisdavid. No purchase necesary. Enjoy! Posts: 1,032 Group: Moderator Member #8,625 Joined: June 23, 2008	roast i'm a little confused by your idea. i mean any idiot can just post a bunch of nothing and win. yes i see rules but they are kinda vague. i'll take the job if offered but it won't be because i post alot. i'd rather it be because you feel that i'm a fair minded guy that will look out for the best interests of the board and its members.

Do our admins know how to code javascript? The shop idea is a good idea, but if you had an admin who could code it to be automatic... I could make 1,000 posts before christmas. But there is no point... picking mods should never be a contest..

Why does this forum have an ugly premade theme? Im not bad mouthing anyone or trying to disrespect this forum. There are alot of members and posts, this is a GOOD forum. But appearance wise it really needs a face lift. Give me a few days, and id be more than happy to donate a new theme designed and coded by myself free of charge.

Oh jeeze don't even go into the theme, I dogged them for a good 6 months before they changed it about 3 or 4 months ago And if you don't like the theme PM one of the mods and we can get a new skin, but it will be on a vote of the people. As for the mod Yes, We have him in captivity until further notice We feed him a strict diet of 1 Slim Jim a day. (Sarcasm)

No mods will ever have access to the Admin control panel, therefore no-one here makes a skin. To be perfectly honest, the theme is fine. Its easy to read, easy to view, and does not take up endless amounts of system resources. A bloated theme would make the servers slower, a useless JavaScript theme switcher would also do so, and I really dont think it is necessary in the first place. Again, this is a MOD competition, to take the slack off myself and mynameisdavid, who have to trawl through every single post every day to make sure all is okay, as no-one ever uses the "report post" button. I tell a lie - Someone used it today, and typed a post in, instead of clicking the "quote" button. Well done all. And hey, the theme isnt premade. And if it was, at least we wouldnt have to hope someone would donate a theme free of charge. Point is, Monwobbobo has won this competition. This is not a feedback thread. Any other issues can be brought up by PM'ing me, or one of the moderators. I dont have time to grumble any more. Regards, Mick.
