There's this effect that Matt Bellamy does sometimes... I wish I could describe it better, but it's kind of a "technological scream". Not the typical kind of scream from a normal guitar, this sounds... technological... and, like, a sound that a guitar shouldn't be able to make. It's just this... kind of... computerized scream. Like it's in pain... I just wish I could describe it better. How does he do this? What kind of effect is it? Help...

Mmmm.. It's hard to say how he makes some of the sounds he does! I know the kinda sound you're on about i think, I'd guess he uses a sustainer with maybe a fast rotary or chorus or flanger or phaser (:P) effect and i know he uses a Z.Vex fuzz factory so it could be a combination of those 3 things. If you don't know though, just to save you time and effort trying, Matt Bellamy uses almighty amounts of crazy effects! I've never known a guitarist use the extremes of effects he does! He has them built into his guitars too! Good luck with it anyway
