I know this is a guitar forum but hey i'm here. Our PA system has suddenly started giving out static shocks through the mic's, nothing has changed as far as I know it just started happening. Standard setup mic > desk > amp > speakers No effects Can get details if you need em. |

Your Mic's XLR cables most likely are not grounded properly, or indeed, your amplifier may not be grounded properly. If it is an older amp, perhaps the circuitry could be shot. Also, make sure the plug socket you are using is grounded properly. Also, try alternate mics. Try the above, if still shocks, let me know. -Mick. |
