I can read tabs, but I can't sight read them and I find them difficult to follow quickly if the bars aren't marked on them. I can't read notation although if you give me a diagram showing which notes are on which line then I can work out which notes are which - I had to transcribe the notation for the bass part of Going Underground into tab I don't really understand major fourths either - sus4 chords - but I know where they are - if you see what I mean I found this too - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chord_(music) which I'll have a read of sometime today I think.
