OH........ Before I forget!!!!!!!!

Anyone who uses Elixers........Get em while you can! Once the current Stocks in the Shops are gone....Until a New Supplier takes them on.....there will be no more in the UK.

You heard it here first.

I didn't like 'em
I bought a set of polywebs for my stringray bass and after about a week the coating started coming off - sure they're still on there and to be fair, they still sound pretty good - at least the same as when i put em on so I can't complain about that too much

although i do like complaining

Well I have never liked them on anything other than a Taylor Acoustic I had, The Taylor and Elixer just went together beautifully.

But we will have to wait and see who is going to try their luck with bringing them into the UK next. At the Shelf Price that they now are.....I can't see a massive uptake!

To be honest, you're probably going to be able to get them anyway, on ebay and such.

Rob, do you mean Westside has stopped distributing them?

We could sell them here, I can still get them....

BUT, like Rob said, they are very expensive as far as strings go

Scratch what I said earlier, I'm now using 11s on my JS30, as my band play mainly in drop-C and I need think low strings for the riffs I spit out :)

this is what i've heard about elixirs

apparently, the supplier switched sometime ago from strings and things (or something like that) to westside distribution and apparently they are carrying on. I've been told that elixir are no longer selling polyweb strings in the UK and are selling only nanoweb - I know this applies to bass strings but I don't know how this affects acoustic or electric guitar strings.
