Hi!

I was bought an electric guitar for my birthday and I was hoping someone would help me out with a few things...

Firstly I need an tuner for it.

Secondly I need a beginners guide to playing it.

I also need an AMP

Can anyone recommend anything cheap to fulfill my requirements.

Either a shop in Manchester, UK or a website than I can order from.

Cheers!

Any tuner will do..
cant go wrong with these http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/korg-ga-30/3554

amp wise.. try and find a roland cube (http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/70526)

and a beginners guide, well.. theres plenty to choose from.

the amp and tuner suggestions i would have to agree with but, on the beginners guide, they are a waste of money, they contain nothing that you cannot get from the magic of google, or you can go a step better and get a friend who already plays to run you through the basics, but i bought a beginners guide thing when i started and it was a total waste.

ye I agree. I've always bought beginner guides for instruments I play and they've all be rubbish. Save yourself £15 and just use the internet, like looking over easy tabs, playing along with songs, etc. it's a much more efficient way to learn I think and it will improve your musicality in the long term I think.
Though come to think of it, I did have a book for flute from this range: www.learntoplaymusic.com and that was a good book; and they do do guitar too. But not sure if it will be any good.
