No reason why not. Certainly in the Early Days that is the most usual way of doing things,
"Drunk" is feeling sophisticated even though you can't say it!

I don't think your band really needs to be worrying about a manager right now.

I mean, you have only just started playing, you are by all means, a beginner.

Practicing with other musicians when you are starting out is good, but just worry about the guitar for now buddy :)

yeah, been there got the t-shirt

Been in many bands where nobody can play anything, don't waste your time. Wait until you can play, then get yourself in a good band.

It's good you have started early, I started when I was 13. Definately gets you ahead of the game!

I started when i was 11 and I'm not joining a band until i go back to school. I've been offered the place of lead guitarist heh. But yeah, just concentrate of becoming a good guitar player then go find other musicians who are the same kind of skill level as you and play with them or perhaps form a band/ join one.

I think these guys are right about being patient when you are young but its definately good to get practising now!!

Anyway...there is no reason why a new band can't have a guitarist/manager, it just depends what type of person they are. If your band gets good and wants to be doing regular gigs, it could become more difficult as you will have to practise more and do loads of organisation to get these gigs. All depends if you are the sort of person who is well organised and can spend enough time on being a musician and a manager! Good luck.

Well, if your in 6th grade, do you REALLY need a manager? Good time to start tho. Me and my friend, who is also a guitarist, just formed our first band and we're only 13. But it doesn't really matter how old you are, just how good you are. as long as you can play decent and keep rhythm with a band no need to wait.
