Well im putting another one out there, i use an 70's Ovation Balladeer. Its awesome, but old, i wish i had the cash for a martin... but one of those costs way more than my DSL or any of my guitars, and if i had that kind of $$ i would buy myself a Dean Razorback V, or a Gibson les Paul custom

Nice ovation, would love an acoustic like that sometime.

Currently, the acoustic i use is a Yamaha F-310, might not be expensive, but the sound from this baby is beautiful. Neck isnt too fast, and not too thick, so its perfectly formed.

Would love a razorback too......god those things are demonic!

I've got an Ibanez acoustic/electric that I keep around the house, but usually go to my dad's when I'm in an acoustic mood. He's got a couple vintage Gibsons that are incredible. My favorite is an old SJ... it's loud like an old Martin D-28, but has the Gibson warmth.

Sometime, I'll break down and buy a Martin D-15. One day, I went to a Martin dealer and played every guitar they had. The D-15 is all mahogany, and had my favorite sound of all of them. Luckily, it's also got the most friendly pricetag ($700-ish) :)
Gibson, Ibanez, Kramer, Seymour Duncan, Dunlop, SIT, and Ernie Ball :D

I play a Martin DX1R, I got for christmas last year. The tone is great and the action on it is even better. I would have no problem recomending a Martin to anyone

I think it cost around 7 to 8 hundred

i have a Washburn d10sce acoustic/electric. its got a cutaway so it was great to transition from the electric to it (it was my first acoustic). im not a big fan of the pickup in it and the action is just a bit high but otherwise its great. especially because it was less than $300

Nice acoustics, BeachBum.

I had the pleasure of playing a Sigma (D10 also, I believe) at an event before. I must say, I almost fell in love with it. ;)

I just bought a New unopened Martin DX1AE out the door with a hardshell case and 5 packs of Martin SP light strings for $538.00 US

I tried for a used Guild but it had issues in the upper registry area fretting out bad.
Was a beautiful sounding guitar but it wasn't right..
So far I love the tone of the mine but I am still wanting the action a bit lower..

Cheers!

New guy with a new electric, but long-time acoustic player. Looking forward to participating and learning.

I'm a Taylor fan and have a GA BTO (Sinker and Macassar) as well as a GSCE LTD in Sitka over Maple. I play the latter more than the former. I also have a 30+ year old Takamine that I keep for sentimental reasons, and an 18 year old Takamine that I will take to adult band jams so I don't beat up the Taylors when moving out of the way of other guitarists or maneuvering around mic stands.
