^ Hello, can anyone tell me if this would be loud enough to not be drowned out by drums?

Just my 10 watt Yamaha one is easily drowned out by the loudness of the drums

Thank you.
-Winter.

Sorry - Here is a link to the official site.

30 Watts, reckon it would be loud enough to compete with drums?

Honestly, no.
Not without beating the living crap out of the tone.
I have that amp, and past a certain volume, the tone just disintegrates.
If you really want one of the Line6 SpiderIIs, look at the 75watt.
It's far more versatile, and will be able to go louder without sacrificing the tone.

Nothing short of 60watts (or 30watts tube) will overpower a drumkit.

Thanks for that guys, Maybe I will just end up buying a guitar pre amp or modeling amp and then buy a 150 watt PA and use it for everything.

How loud is the 30 watt spider?
Does the 75 watt have a noise gate and how good do you think it would be?

Surprisingly, the 75watt is actually quite good, if a little lacking in tone. Arguably the best solidstate amps around. the 30watt.......isnt that loud, unfortunatly.

Seeing as the 30watt does, I'd assume the 75 does, too.

I looked briefly on the Line6 website, and found nothing about the built-in noise gate, but I'd still assume the 75watt has it.

Tubes tend to cut through a drummer better, mainly because you don't have to run them at their breaking point to be heard.

You run them at their breaking point to sound good :)

Seriously, though, go with something you can attach a 4X12 cabinet to at some point in time.
Gibson, Ibanez, Kramer, Seymour Duncan, Dunlop, SIT, and Ernie Ball :D
