What strings do you guys use? When I'm in standard/drop D, I use 10-52. Drop C I use 11-54, and B or lower is 13-60. |

I am currently using Ernie Ball Power Slinkies (11-48) but I am looking into different brands that have a heavier bottom and stil keeping the heavy top strings because I can't stand Es under 11. |

I heard that in the UK, Ernie Ball & Rotosound are made in the same factory. Any truth to that? Check out the Ernie Ball Beefy Slinky set. It's in a yellow pack, and goes 11, 15, 22, 32, 42, 54. The only thing that's weird is the G is plain, and 22 is a toughie to get used to. |

GHS has a cool set, one of the Zakk Wyldes that goes 11, 14, 18, 36, 52, 70. Those things are crazy! |

Another good 11 set is Dean Markley, they go 11-52, and come with two third strings, a plain 18 and wound 20. |

It's a pretty versatile set, not too tight for normal tuning, but they'll hold drop tunings, too. Having both a wound & plain third is awesome, too, coz you can switch them back and forth to see which you prefer. |
