sometimes, i play with anything i can get a hold of, like keys. But they wear the strings. I have 4 of my picks, because I can only get one at a time and the music shop is miles away. |

i use the pruple dunlop tortex ones for electric, the yellow and orange ones for acoustic and then my fav's for acoustic are medium fender ones, the crystal looking ones. and to the guy using paper clips, try using a credit card, drivers license, gift card, library card, or something to that effect. if you have any they work well and if you dont use them you can cut them up into pick shape and use them, they work well i find. i usualy use my school id or library card when i find myself without a pick.

I like Dunlop Tortex, various guages. The purple ones (1.14) are probably my favorite. I also like Claytons. |
Gibson, Ibanez, Kramer, Seymour Duncan, Dunlop, SIT, and Ernie Ball

have any of you tried the picks that are suposedly great for keeping a grip on them? i tried the everly star ones with the star cut outs in them, they didnt really work and just gave me star shaped impressions on my fingers. after those i kind of gave up on grip picks, but i was still wondering if any one has any that actualy work. |
